This series is based on a comic by Ben Dunn, which has always seemed like an odd name for a creative artist.
Warrior Nun (TV series)

I’m occasionally borrowing someone else’s Netflix, and since I’m chronically unemployed and can’t get any business ideas to work to help me make a living, I decided to see what this one was about.
Each episode is titled with a Scripture reference from the Bible, usually hacked out of context with a blunt chisel to loosely indicate whatever the main character is going through. The protagonist starts as a quadriplegic teenager, which is certainly novel. The show has lots of special effects, locations, and drama. It is very Catholic, although it often isn’t clear which side of that issue it’s on. The church is usually the Bad Guy. The persistently rebellious protagonist is tiring, and makes the whole show look a lot like a Buffy the Vampire Slayer knockoff.
To cut to the bottom line, it is obviously a condition of airing on Netflix that a show includes a 10-minute shock gay reveal, apparently to support that ideological community. I tried fast-forwarding through this part, but in the second season the story got even more insulting, and less entertaining, as the nature of various heavenly beings is further speculated on. I quit.
I’ve gone through all of the available episodes of classic Dr. Who available from BritBox in the US (which doesn’t include Genesis of the Daleks). I’ll just go back to scrolling through Twitter and making sarcastic comments.
